An Airport Manager oversees the daily activities at airports, reassures the regulations are being followed properly, safety is maintained and other people’s jobs are concluded on time. They are the prime point of contact for the airport administrative staff, passengers and other officials. One of their major responsibilities also includes budget planning. Airport Managers are the decision makers and policy makers as well as they also supervise the management of all the airport departments. 

The Airports Authority Of India (AAI) is a Fundamental body that creates, reforms and sustains civil aviation infrastructure. It issues code and decorum for the security and safeguarding of airports, aircrafts as well as passengers and an Airport Manager enact these protocols and measures issued by AAI. Airport Managers also work with other administrative staff to increase profits through passenger services, entry fees, etcetera. There might be more than one Airport Manager at a time depending on the size and responsibilities of an airport.

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Seekers must opt for biology, physics and chemistry in which they have to pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks in. 

For Masters

  • Every aspirant should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in engineering, aviation management or business administration with at least 60% marks.  

For Diploma

  • Candidates have to pass class 12 with at least 50% marks in biology, physics and chemistry. The duration of a diploma is 6 months to a year.
