A filmmaker is a person who makes films that can also be defined as the art of making motion pictures. They are responsible for bringing a story to life on the big screen alongside working with a team of creative professionals to write, direct, produce and shoot a film. Filmmakers typically wear many hats from overseeing the visual look and style of the movie to casting actors and negotiating contracts.

Some key elements in filmmaking include screenwriters, directors, producers, cinematographers, editors and production designers. Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • In order to become a filmmaker after 10+2 class, the seekers need to pursue a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The applicants can enrol in Associate Degree in Film Study, BA in Cinema Study, BA in Filmmaking or B.Sc. in Digital Filmmaking. 

For Masters

  • The ideal candidates can apply for a Masters Degree once they have accomplished their Bachelor’s degree.
  • The scholars can apply for an MFA degree from a recognised university or college.
