About

A Reservation Agent is a professional who is responsible for handling customer inquiries and booking reservations for travel, accommodations, events and other services. Reservation Agents work in a variety of industries including hospitality, transportation as well as entertainment.

The main responsibilities of a Reservation Agent include answering customer inquiries about products and services, providing information about pricing and availability along with making reservations using various reservation systems. They also handle customer complaints and work to resolve any issues or concerns. Reservation Agents are expected to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and bookings. 

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 class with at least 50% marks from any recognised board.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Travel Management (TTM) or hospitality management is a great option for students. 

For Master’s

  • Candidates can also select a master’s degree in Tourism & Travel Management (TTM) or hospitality management for deeper understanding of concepts.

For Work Experience

  • To become a Certified Travel Associate (CTA), seekers need to have at least 12 months of experience in the travel industry.
  • Maximum 5 years of experience in the travel industry is required to become a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC).
