The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli, also known as NIT Trichy, is a public engineering and technology institute located in Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1964 as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu.

NIT Trichy is one of the top engineering colleges in India and is known for its academic excellence and research contributions. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral programmes in various fields of engineering, technology and sciences.
