Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) is a public technical university located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 1960 as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) and was later renamed as VNIT in 2002.

VNIT is one of the top engineering institutes in India and it offers undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral programs in various fields of engineering and technology. The institute has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade and has also been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

The campus of VNIT is spread over an area of around 225 acres and it houses various facilities such as libraries, auditoriums, sports facilities and student hostels. Admission Procedure

The admission procedure at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) in Nagpur for undergraduate and postgraduate programs is based on the scores obtained in the national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main and GATE, respectively.

Candidates need to qualify for the entrance exams and meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute.

After the entrance exams, the eligible candidates have to participate in the centralised counselling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) or the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. (CCMT) depending on the program they applied for.
