A ceramic designer is a professional who creates ceramic pieces for functional or decorative purposes. They may work for a company that manufactures ceramic products or they may be self-employed. Ceramic designers must have a strong understanding of the properties of clay and glazes as well as the ability to create aesthetically pleasing designs.


For Bachelor’s

  • Any bachelor’s degree related to design, 3D design, art or any related stream is valid to become a ceramic designer. 
  • B.Design or B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering is a well-suited UG Program for the interested students. 
  • No entrance exam is conducted for this field.
  • Students can opt for relevant diploma or certificate courses to enhance designing  expertise. 

For Masters

  • To establish more knowledge in this field, students can choose M.Design, MA Design or Master of Fine Arts from any recognised institute.
