An Executive Chef is a senior-level culinary professional who manages a kitchen and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation. The Executive Chef is typically in charge of creating menus, managing food inventory, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring that food safety and sanitation standards are met as well as maintaining high-quality standards for all dishes served.

The Executive Chef must have extensive culinary training and experience as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. They must be able to manage a diverse team of kitchen staff, work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

In addition to managing the kitchen, an Executive Chef may also be responsible for building relationships with food suppliers, creating new recipes and staying up-to-date with the latest culinary trends as well as techniques. 

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks from any recognised board. 
  • Students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management or other related fields.
  • Scholars can also opt for diploma courses in Culinary Arts, Catering or Hospitality. 

For Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience as a banquet manager is required.
  • Experience in Catering Management Software like Better Cater or Caterease are also eligible for Banquet Manager.
