Food critics usually dine anonymously to get an authentic experience and to ensure that the service as well as food are aligned with what any customer would receive. They may also visit a restaurant multiple times to assess consistency and evaluate different menu items. Food critics may work as freelance writers or employed by publications/media companies. They may also be invited to judge food competitions or provide consulting services to restaurants or food companies.

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks from any recognised board. 
  • Students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management or other related fields.
  • Scholars can also opt for diploma courses in Culinary Arts, Catering or Hospitality. 

For Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience as a banquet manager is required.
  • Experience in Catering Management Software like Better Cater or Caterease are also eligible for Banquet Manager.
