About

A product designer is a professional who is responsible for the creation and development of physical and digital products. They work with a team of stakeholders including engineers, marketers, and project managers in order to design products that meet the needs of their target customers. Product designers typically have a strong background in design principles including user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design and industrial design. 

They use a variety of tools and techniques such as wireframing, prototyping as well as user testing to create products that are functional, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Furthermore, Product designers are responsible for considering the cost, feasibility and manufacturing requirements of their designs. They may work with manufacturers to ensure that their designs can be produced efficiently and at a reasonable cost.

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks in Humanities from any recognised board. 
  • Students can opt for a B.Voc or any other related degree in product designing.
  • It is not mandatory to get a master's degree, but if one wishes to go for it, their expertise will be enhanced. 
  • Some entrance exams are also conducted like JEE Mains, JEE Advance, CEED or any related test. 

 For Masters

  • To gain job market knowledge, one can opt for a Master's degree in product designing. 
  • Seekers must have a proper knowledge in CAD and modern designing software
