About

A bartender also known as mixologist or barkeeper is a person who serves soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in a bar. A bartender is a licensed worker who works in nightclubs, restaurants, casinos or private parties. Their responsibilities include knowing alcohol tastes & pairing, making classic & traditional drinks, verifying age requirements, cleaning bar supplies and managing records. 

There are two types of bartenders, one is called Publican and the other is called Speedtender. The former is a normal bartender who works in pubs. The latter works on the busiest nights of a bar like on Friday & Saturday nights.

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 with at least 45% marks from any recognised board. 
  • Students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in BHMCT, BCTCA, Culinary Arts, Hotel Management & Hospitality.
  • Scholars can also opt for diploma courses in Professional Bartending, Mixology & Flair Bartending or Certificate courses in Wines and Spirits. 

PG Program is not necessary in a Bartending career as you can get enough knowledge & skills in your UG Program.
