A Guest Service Associate is typically a hospitality industry professional who provides assistance and information to guests or customers of a hotel, restaurant or other hospitality establishment. Their main goal is to ensure that guests have a positive experience and feel welcomed as well as valued.

The specific duties of a Guest Service Associate can vary depending on the establishment they work in but they generally include tasks such as Greeting guests and providing them with information about the establishment and its services, checking guests in and out of the establishment, answering guest inquiries and addressing any concerns or complaints, providing recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, other services, processing payments and handling financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and reports and to name a few. 


  • Students need to clear 10+2 class with at least 50% marks in commerce stream from a recognised board.
  • A bachelor’s degree in hotel management is well-suited for aspirants.
  • Candidates can also go for a diploma or certificate course.
  • A master’s degree is not that necessary to possess.
  • Some additional skills required like communication, mathematical, management skills, etcetera.
  • No age limit is required.
