About

Mining engineers are professionals who work in the extraction and processing of minerals and metals from the earth. They are responsible for the design, construction, operation and closure of mines as well as developing new mining technologies and practices. 

Moreover, they evaluate potential mining sites and select locations that are economically viable as well as environmentally sustainable. They design systems and processes for extracting minerals and metals from the earth. Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Students need to pass 10+2 and acquire at least 50% marks in science stream from any recognised board. 
  • Aspirants can opt for a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other related field.   
  • Some National Level Entrance Exams are conducted, for that students need to clear the required ones to get admission in an UG Program. 

For Diploma

  • Candidates can choose a Diploma course in Mining Engineering after their grade 10.
