Overview

Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, abbreviated to AP EAPCET was formerly known as AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). AP EAPCET 2023 will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Ananthapuramu on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education), Guntur District for the academic year 2023-24.

It enables you to take admission into various professional courses of two different categories offered by various colleges/institutes in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

AP EAPCET for Engineering makes you eligible to take admission into the First Year of Professional Courses i.e.

(i) Engineering, Bio-Technology, B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Agr. Engg.), B.Tech. (Food Science and Technology)

(ii) B.Sc. (Ag)/ B.Sc. (Hort)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H/B.F.Sc

(iii) B. Pharmacy, Pharm. D.

On the other hand, AP EAPCET for Agriculture, Pharmacy and B. Sc. Nursing allows you to take admission into the First Year of Professional Courses i.e.

i) B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc.(Hort.) / B.V.Sc. & AH / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FST) /B.Sc.(CA&BM)

General Eligibility

You should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
You should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana. You should satisfy Local / Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh / Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
You should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

Students awaiting their results may also apply for AP EAPCET 2023.	16 years of age by the date of commencement of admission or on such other date as may be notified by the CET committee. There is no upper age limit.
B.Tech. (Bio-Technology)	10+2 with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as options. Students awaiting their results may also apply for APEAPCET 2023.	-
B.Sc. (Nursing)	10+2 examination (Science stream) from AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/ NIOS/APOSS with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and passed in English individually. Or Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology shall be 40% and passed in English individually. Candidates of State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government having Science subjects and English are also eligible to apply. Note: i) Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in AP EAPCET-2023. (AP Category).

ii) Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission (2023) and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC/ST candidates as of 31st December of the year of admission (2023).

Exam Pattern

The AP EAPCET 2023, for Engineering courses, will be conducted from 15-05-2023 to 18-05-2023 and on 22-05-2023 to 23-05-2023 for Agriculture, Pharmacy & B. Sc. (Nursing) courses in two sessions every day i.e. 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon. and 3.00 P.M to 6.00 P.M through Online Test mode only. All questions are of objective type (multiple choice) only carrying one mark. Check the exam pattern for your reference.

Application Procedure

Steps for AP EAPCET 2023 Registration

The authority has already started receiving the online applications for AP EAPCET 2023 (that are closed now) from March 11, 2023. Here are the brief steps for registration:

Step 1: Visit https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/

Step 2: To register for AP EAPCET 2023, first you need to seach for ‘Fee Payment for AP EAPCET 2023’ link and then pay the prescribed fee. You will have to select among net banking (HDFC, ICICI, SBI, or other banks); debit card, or credit card as an online payment method.

Step 3: Know your payment status and note down the payment reference ID.

Step 4: After successful payment, you may proceed to fill your application form. Here you will be prompted to enter Payment Reference ID, Qualifying Examination Ticket No. (i.e. Intermediate 2nd Year Hall Ticket No), your mobile number and date of birth.

Step 5: Then, you will have to hit the ‘Know your application status’ link to know your registration number for AP EAPCET 2023.

Step 6: After successfully submitting your application, the last step is to click on ‘Print Application Form’. For this, enter your payment ref. ID, registration number, qualifying examination hall ticket no., mobile no. and date of birth.

Special Note: You are required to submit the printed application form to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College where studied qualifying examination. You should use the Registration Number for future correspondence.

Syllabus

As mentioned in the AP EAPCET 2023 Information brochure, in view of the Covid Pandemic situation, the Board of Intermediate Education reduced syllabus/topics to the tune of 30% at First year. Hence, the AP EAPCET-2023 Examination will be conducted with Complete Second year syllabus and 30% reduction in first year Syllabus.
