OVERVIEW:

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) is an entrance exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for offering admissions to eligible & interested applicants to a number of courses which vary from its integrated programs like BE to Pharma and First degree programs to MSc coursework. 

In order to secure a chance of admission at any of the three BITS campuses that are located at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, you must clear this computer-based test with at least minimum marks set by the institute. 

Admissions to any of the BITS campuses will be made purely on merit and the merit relies on the score obtained by you in the BITSAT-2023. However, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned below.

For all First Degree programs of BITS excluding B. Pharm-

• You should be 12^th passed from a well-established and recognized board either Central or State with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects. 

For B. Pharm-

• You should have passed the 12th examination (10+2 system) from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy programme. 

Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below- 

• If taken Mathematics in BITSAT- Minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th with at least 60% marks in each subject.

Or

• If taken Biology in BITSAT- Minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the 12th examination with at least 60% marks in each subject.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers-

It is an offering from BITS that all the first rank students belonging to any of the recognized boards – either state or central irrespective of their BITSAT-2023 score will be offered direct admission to the program they wish to pursue as per the criteria of fulfillment of seats.

Additional Points to Remember

• Only the students who have appeared for 12th class examination in 2023 or who have passed 12th class Examination in 2022 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2023 test. 

Those students who belong to the 2021 batch or earlier of 12^th and the current students of various courses at any of the BITS campuses are not eligible to apply for BITSAT-2023.

BITSAT 2023 is a computer-based test of 3 hours of duration. You must note that there is no individual time limit for different parts of the examination. Step 2: Fill the admission form 

Step 3: Pay the prescribed fees

Step 4: Take the printout of the filled-in form for your future reference

Application Form Correction

It is stated in the information brochure of BITSAT 2023 that if you complete the application form and pay the prescribed fee as well but later find any mistake in the form, you will be provided a facility to make corrections in your application form particulars (except gender, email id and contact number). you can edit the required fields in the online application from 16th - 20th April 2023. 

Documents Required

The application form of BITSAT 2023 needs your basic details and certain documents to be uploaded correctly. So, before initiating your registration on the BITSAT portal,

• Please upload your photograph (size: 50 kb-200 kb) and signature (size: 10 kb-50 kb) in .JPG/.JPEG format.
• The photograph should be of color passport size and with white background.

Follow the below-mentioned steps to download the admit card of BITSAT 2023-

• Visit the BITS 2023 admission portal.
• Enter your application number and password to login.
• Search for the “BITSAT 2023 Admit card” tab.
• Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
• Click the ‘Download the BITSAT 2023 hall ticket’ and take a printout of it.
