Exam Pattern

INI-SS July 2023 exam will be conducted in two stage performance evaluation basis. Stage 1, which is applicable to all participating institutes, will be conducted to test your general or basic component of the qualifying educational qualification and from sub-speciality/systems/component the speciality/course for which the examination is conducted. 

Now, the stage 2 will be applicable to all AIIMS only. It will comprise a total of 20 marks. To qualify for stage 2, you need to:

  • secure at least 50% marks in the stage 1
  • apply in online registration for AIIMS seats in respective course/speciality
  • be eligible as per AIIMS’ eligibility criteria

The stage 1 of INI-SS for the July 2023 session will assess your knowledge and understanding of both the foundational concepts and the specific subject areas relevant to your field of study or specialization.

Meaning that, the question paper for the exam in the first stage will contain two types of questions. First, it will cover general or basic topics that are part of your educational qualification. Second, it will include questions from specific sub-specialities, systems, or components related to the speciality of course you are studying. 

And, you need to score at least 50% of the total marks in order to be eligible for the stage 2 of the INI-SS exam
