You must lie within the range of top 2, 50,000 successful candidates (including ST, ST, OBC and General etc.) in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2023. The minimum passing percentage for shortlisted candidates is– 7.5% for ST, 15% for SC, 27% for OBC-NCL, 10% for Gen-EWS, and the rest 40.5% is OPEN to all. 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates. |
If you are a foreign national candidate, then at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2023, you are NOT required to write JEE (Main) 2023. You may register for JEE (Advanced) 2023 directly subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria |

Earlier admission at IITs |
You should NOT have been admitted to an IIT irrespective of whether or not you continued the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting “online” / at a “reporting centre” in the past. If your admission to IIT was cancelled (for whatever reason) after joining any IIT, you are also NOT eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2023. If you have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022, you can appear in JEE (Advanced) 2023. If you were allocated a seat in an IIT through JoSAA 2023 but (i) did not report “online”/at any “reporting centre” OR, (ii) withdrew before the last round of seat allotment, OR, (iii) had your seat cancelled (for whatever reason) before the last round of seat allotment for IITs, you are eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2023. However, in all of the above cases, you are also required to fulfil the conditions mentioned from Criterion 1 to Criterion 4. (Criterion 2 to 4 for Foreign Nationals). |

Steps for JEE Advanced 2023 Registration
As soon as the application start date for JEE Advanced 2023 is declared, you will need to register for the exam carefully. Follow the below-mentioned steps
Step 1: Visit the JEE Advanced official website.
Step 2: Register your mobile number and email ID. Ensure entering the correct mobile number and email ID.
Step 3: A verification link will be sent to your mobile no. and email ID.
Step 4: After the verification is successfully done, you must log in to the JEE Advanced portal.
Step 5: Click on the ‘application form’ button and proceed with the JEE Advanced 2023 Application form.
Step 6: Fill in all the details correctly. Review the details before submitting the form.
Step 7: After submitting the details, you will be redirected to the payment window.
Step 8: Choose the convenient mode of payment.
Step 9: After paying the required fee, take a printout of your application form as it will be needed for future references.
