Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a forward-looking institute that is well known for distributing its level of excellence and innovation amongst youth. The institute conducts an entrance exam named VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam) for the students who seek admission in undergraduate engineering programs in VIT group of Institutions. You can apply for a B. Tech degree from 21 branches available at Vellore campus, 4 at Andhra Pradesh, 15 at Chennai campus and 14 at Bhopal campus of Vellore Institute of Technology.

ELIGIBILITY:

You must fulfill following eligibility criteria to appear for VITEE:

Nationality 

• You should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO/OCI.
• If you are an NRI applicant, you can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through the NRI application form.
• If you fall under the Foreign applicant category who studied/studying abroad, you can apply directly through the International application form.

Age Limit

• If your Date of Birth (DOB) falls on or after 1st July 2001, you are eligible to apply for Engineering admission 2023.
• The DOB as recorded in the matriculation certificate will be considered valid.
• This certificate  will be considered as the age proof and will be required at the time of counseling/admission. Failing to produce the same will disqualify your candidacy for admission.

Qualifying Examination

Are you applying for UG Engineering admission? If yes, then you should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2023, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

• 10+2 Examination conducted by the State Board; CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) New Delhi, ISCE (The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination), New Delhi.
• Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL) 
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

Note: Regular 'NIOS' board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. In this case, you should produce the Migration cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.

Selection Eligibility

You are eligible for all B. Tech programme, if you are a PCMB/PCM applicant and have attempted Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude in VITEEE 2023 a

If you are a PCMB/PCB/PCM applicant, attempting Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Aptitude in VITEEE 2023 & PCB applicant attempting Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude in VITEEE 2023, you are eligible only for the following programmes:

• B. Tech. Biotechnology (VIT, Vellore)
• B. Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics - VIT, Vellore)
• B. Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering (Biomedical Engineering - VIT, Vellore)
• B. Tech. Bioengineering (VIT, Bhopal)
• B. Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Specialization in Health Informatics - VIT, Bhopal)

The selection of subjects (MPCEA / BPCEA) should be mentioned in the application form.

VITEEE Exam Pattern:

The pattern of Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Examination (VITEE) meant for engineering courses, is Computer Based Test (CBT) i.e. will be conducted in online mode only. The total duration of the VITEE is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The distribution of questions differs as per subject group (PCM or PCB) of 10+2. To take admission in a particular course at any campus of Vellore Institute, you are required to appear in the entrance exam i.e. VITEEE 2023 of the institute. You will be awarded the admission only on the basis of the marks obtained in VITEEE, besides fulfilling other eligibility/selection criteria.

Step 2: Fill the application form entering the required details like personal & educational details, institute preference, etc.

Step 3: Pay the prescribed application fee.

Step 4: Upload required documents.

Step 5: Finally, submit the form and take its printout.

The admit cards are already available for downloading. You must bring the hard copy of your e-admit card to the examination center for the verification purposes. Know the steps to get your copy of VITEEE admit card:

Step 1: Visit https://viteee.vit.ac.in/ 

Step 2: Click on ‘Book a Slot’. This will redirect you to the Online Slot booking system.

Step 3: Enter Application Number & Password and fill the captcha. Login and click “Book a seat”. Book your test slot as per your preference of test center and time. The list of available slots will be there. 

Step 4: Confirm your booking and click Submit. 

Step 5: After confirming the slot, an e-admit card will be shown on the screen. Download your VITEEE 2023 Admit Card. Save and take a print out.

Note: The copy of the e-Admit card will also be emailed.
