WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) 2023 is a university-level common entrance examination conducted yearly by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. The test allows you to take admission into various undergraduate courses in the field of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture of distinguished universities, Government Colleges and Self-Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in West Bengal.

Admission to undergraduate Engineering Colleges of West Bengal


Know the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2023 to be eligible for appearing in the examination:


  • You must be a citizen of India or OCI [Subject to approval of the Competent Authority]. OCI candidates will be eligible for only unreserved seats in all India quota.

Educational Qualification

  • You must have cleared your 12th examination (10+2) or its equivalent before 2023 or be appearing in the same in 2023.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit to appear in the examination. However, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31/12/2023. You should have been born on or before 31.12.2006. 

For admission to the degree-level marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years as on 31.12.2023.

WBJEE Exam Pattern:

The WBJEE exam comprises Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) having four options in each category of the subjects namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Application Procedure

Steps for WBJEE 2023 Registration

To apply for WBJEE 2023, you will have to register on the official website. Since the registrations have been closed, note down the step-by-step procedure for reference:

  • Visit https://wbjeeb.nic.in/  
  • Click on 'New Candidate Registration'
  • In order to register, you will have to provide details like your name, date of birth, email address, mobile number and more. The provided details have to be reviewed before submission. 
  • If you have applied for JEE Main (2023), you can enter your application number.
  • Choose the zone of your preference for the examination.
  • On successful WBJEE 2023 registration, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Verify your mobile number by entering the OTP received on your mobile number.
  • WBJEE 2023 application number will be generated after the registration process is over. You will receive the same as an SMS and an e-mail.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Pay the prescribed fee. The fee paid for the examination will be non-refundable.

Special Note: Upon successfully completing all of the above-mentioned steps, you will be redirected to the confirmation page. Your application stands incomplete if the confirmation page is not generated.

Admit Card

Steps to Download WBJEE Admit Card

The exam conducting authority has made the admit cards for WBJEE 2023 available from April 20, 2023. Follow the given steps to download your copy of the WBJEE admit card:

Step 1:Visit https://wbjeeb.nic.in/.

Step 2: Click the link ‘Download Admit Card of WBJEE 2023’. You will be redirected to a new window asking for your login credentials.

Step 3: Enter your WBJEE 2023 application number, date of birth, security pin (i.e. your password) and match the captcha.

Step 4: Hit the ‘Sign in’ button.

Step 5: The admit card of WBJEE 2023 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Ensure that all of your details are correct on your admit card. In case of any discrepancy, you will have to contact the authorities.

Step 7: Save and take the print out of the WBJEE admit card for future use.
