The NEET syllabus for 2024 has been updated, and the NTA released the syllabus PDF in October. This syllabus is the same as what was provided by the National Medical Commission (NMC) earlier. The NTA decided to share the NEET syllabus PDF before the information brochure or application form to help students plan their studies better. Unlike before, the chapters are not categorized into Class 11 and Class 12.
In Chemistry, the NMC NEET syllabus has been divided into three parts: Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. Some chapters or topics have been removed from all three subjects, and a few new topics have been added. These changes aim to align the NEET syllabus with the syllabus of State Board exams for both Class 11 and Class 12. Click on the below-mentioned link to know about NEET 2024 Syllabus.

If you've studied or are currently studying Biology/Biotechnology along with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, you can still appear for the NEET exam. This information comes from an official notice by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
For eligibility, you need to be an Indian citizen. However, non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals can also take the NEET exam if they want to pursue MBBS or other medical courses in Indian institutes that consider NEET scores.
Regarding age, you should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will reach that age by December 31, 2024, or the year's last date. In simpler terms, your minimum birthdate should be December 31, 2007. Importantly, there's no upper age limit for NEET.
In terms of education, you must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually in your qualifying exam. The required overall percentage is 50% for General category, 45% for General-PWD, and 40% for Reserved category candidates.
The NEET exam is a pen-and-paper test, meaning you'll answer on a physical question paper, and it lasts for three hours and 20 minutes. The test comprises 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, but you only need to answer 180 of them. The questions are multiple-choice, and you mark the correct answer by shading the corresponding circle on the OMR sheet with a blue or black ballpoint pen.
Each subject has two sections: Section A with 35 questions and Section B with 15 questions. You must answer all 35 questions in Section A, but in Section B, you choose 10 out of the 15 questions. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the final NEET paper pattern along with the official notification and information brochure. Keep in mind that there might be changes in the NEET exam pattern for 2024.
As the countdown to the NEET exam 2024 intensifies, prospective medical aspirants find themselves on the edge of their seats, awaiting key announcements that will shape their academic futures.
