NEET-PG 2025: NBEMS Releases Official Information Bulletin, Exam Scheduled for June 15

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially released the Information Bulletin for NEET-PG 2025, announcing key details for postgraduate medical aspirants across the country. NEET-PG serves as the sole entrance test for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma, DNB, and NBEMS diploma courses for the 2025–26 academic session.

Important Dates Announced

According to the bulletin, the application process began on April 17, 2025 (from 3 PM) and will continue until May 7, 2025 (11:55 PM). Candidates can apply online through the official NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in.

  • Edit Window: May 9 to May 13, 2025 (except for Name, Nationality, Email, Mobile number & Test City)
  • Pre-Final Edit Window (Image Corrections): May 17 to May 21, 2025
  • Final Image Correction Window: May 24 to May 26, 2025
  • Admit Card Release: June 11, 2025
  • Exam Date: June 15, 2025
  • Result Declaration: By July 15, 2025
  • Internship Completion Cut-off Date: July 31, 2025

Courses Covered

The examination will be the gateway for admission to the following:

  • MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses
  • Post MBBS DNB Courses
  • Direct 6-Year DrNB Courses
  • NBEMS Diploma Programs

However, institutions such as AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, NIMHANS, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute are not covered under NEET-PG and conduct their own admission tests.

Eligibility & Scope

NEET-PG 2025 is mandatory for all medical graduates, including foreign nationals, seeking admission to the listed courses in India. It includes admissions under:

  • All India 50% Quota
     
  • State Quota Seats
     
  • Private & Deemed Universities
     
  • AFMS Institutions
     
  • Open DNB Seats

Candidates must ensure their MBBS degree is recognized as per the NMC Act, 2019, and the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.

Application Procedure

Applications can only be submitted online at the NBEMS website. Each candidate can register only once. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification, with only the latest valid application being considered.

A demo test will also be made available from June 5, 2025, to help candidates familiarize themselves with the computer-based format.

Counseling & Seat Allotment

Counseling for NEET-PG 2025 will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS, for:

  • 50% All India Quota Seats
  • 100% Seats in Deemed/Central Universities
  • 100% Open DNB Seats

State government authorities will handle counseling for State Quota and In-Service Quota Seats.

Scheme of NEET-PG 2025

Step-by-Step Process for NEET-PG 2025

To help candidates understand the complete examination journey, here’s a breakdown of each phase:

Before the Exam

  1. Submit Online Application: Visit https://natboard.edu.in and register.
  2. Edit Window: Make necessary changes (except restricted fields).
  3. Image Correction Window: Upload proper passport photo, signature, and thumb impression.
  4. Watch Demo Test: Familiarize yourself with the CBT format via a demo test on NBEMS website.
  5. Download Admit Card: From June 11, 2025, download your admit card from your login dashboard.

On the Exam Day

  1. Report on Time: Reach your assigned center as per shift timings.
  2. Security Check-In:
    1. ID verification
    2. Biometric (fingerprint) and Face ID verification
  3. Login & Instructions: Login at allotted time and read instructions carefully.
  4. Start Examination: The exam will begin exactly at the scheduled time.
  5. During the Exam:
    1. Attempt MCQs in time-bound sections.
    2. Mark questions for review if needed (within section time only).
    3. Face ID/Biometric may be verified again randomly.
  6. End of Exam: System will automatically end the test after 3 hours 30 minutes.

Important Notes

  • Ensure your internet-based test skills are practiced with the demo test.
  • Carry only permitted items to the center (Admit card, ID proof).
  • Any unfair means or malpractice during the test will lead to disqualification and legal action.
  • Candidates must complete their internship by July 31, 2025 to be eligible.

Strict Rules on Misconduct

As per the official notification, use of unfair means or electronic devices during the exam is strictly prohibited. NBEMS warns that candidates indulging in malpractice will face debarment from future exams and legal action as per the Unfair Means Guidelines.
